Pharmakeia

The skill covers the treatment of wounds, illness (both natural and super natural), disease, and other ailments through the use of healing compounds, plants, potions, and cocktails of these items.

This is the branch of medicine and biology concerned with the study of drug action, where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (within the body) molecule which exerts a biochemical and/or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism. More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function. If substances have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals.

The Pharmacist does not have a generalized knowledge of Herbs as does a Botanist. Also, they are generally not good at creating compounds as an Alchemist can. However, they do have knowledge on how to combine these elements and when an Alchemist or a Botanist is available they can sometimes achieve great results. All medical schools in the world of Avergene generally apply all three areas of expertise.
