Ancient Book of the Dead
An ancient book written in during the existance of the Est E’ Kiapan empire. It contains information about the preservation of the dead and the rituals of internment.
Inside this particular book is a passage written by one such interned ruler:
The will of our lord shall prevail upon you. The realm of death is but a portal to the next realm and those who enter must be prepared for it. There in lies a willingness to travel across this divide in the spirit of anyone born to the life spark. The mastery of the life spark will thus allow us to pass back and forth.
Here in lies the trick to our mastery. There are those who’m master the realm and those are but riders to the passage between.
Be you a rider or a master? As I approach my death this is the question I face and address daily. I have learned of a great servent along the western realm of Ikta Strun who is said is a master of such things. The stories are that he can prepare a body for the passage and once across the spirit that once was hosted by this body is free and charged with a new destiny.
It is even said that the spirit can use the prepared body for transport to other realms should the body be sent. There exists no tangible evidence of this claim that I can find record of. But still I must admit in my failing health a desire to seek out the man and see for myself if these rumors are true.
